Free Food For Schools
Surplus To Purpose intercepts food destined for waste. Sometimes they end up with food we cannot redistribute this food due to the sheer volumes we have, which results in this food being wasted. We’ve designed Free Food For Schools. A way for us to support thousands of children, families and schools with FREE, unlimited produce, whilst preventing more food from becoming waste.

National Manufacturing Day 24
West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services (WYMS) is supporting National Manufacturing Day on September 26, 2024, along with partners like Make UK, Calderdale College, and various regional manufacturers.
The free event aims to promote manufacturing careers to students in years 9 to 13 during school hours. After the school sessions, the event will be open to parents to learn more about the diverse range of opportunities in the field.
The school session will feature opportunities to meet manufacturers, see their products, learn about different roles and careers available locally, and participate in hands-on, interactive activities highlighting the manufacturing sector.
